Our school seeks a professional, experienced and passionate educator to teach 4th grade and join our vibrant team of faculty. The qualified candidate will have teaching experience at the elementary level, background/interest/passion for teaching language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science in a self contained classroom. A bachelor’s degree in a related educational field is required. In addition, our teachers must exhibit a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Successful candidates will have sound pedagogical skills, experience with teaching Everyday Math, and experience with the Lucy Calkins Readers/Writers Workshop. Candidates should have patience, highly developed writing and organizational skills, and the desire to build positive and meaningful relationships with students in a manner consistent with our child-centered, integrated, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Candidates should have interest and experience working in a diverse setting and also demonstrate cultural competency. We seek and value diversity in our teaching staff and welcome applicants of all backgrounds and identities. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
